Three Kelly IP Partners recognized Among Managing IP's Top 250 Women in IP

15-Oct-2014

Kelly IP is proud to announce that Stephanie Bald, Lynn Jordan, and Linda McLeod have been named “IP Stars” and recognized among the “Top 250 Women in IP,” Managing Intellectual Property’s definitive guide to the leading female intellectual property attorneys in the U.S. These top women lawyers were selected after extensive client and peer interviews conducted by Managing IP, and represent the best of the best in intellectual property.

Having all three of its women partners named to the list is a remarkable accomplishment for the 10-attorney firm founded in April 2013.  Even more remarkable is that Kelly IP is the only firm—regardless of size—to have 3 lawyers named that focus exclusively on trademark law.  In addition, only 23 other firms in the country had 3 or more women named to the list regardless of practice area, and the vast majority of those were Big Law firms. Kelly IP stands out among those 23 firms as the only firm with less than 50 attorneys to have 3 of its women lawyers recognized .

Stephanie H. Bald

Stephanie specializes in trademark, false advertising, and unfair competition litigation, disputes, and strategic counseling. She has represented clients in federal courts across the country and before the TTAB. Experienced in all aspects of litigation, Stephanie has authored winning trial briefs and dispositive summary judgment motions, and has obtained and defeated requests for emergency relief, including motions for temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, and ex parte requests for discovery. Stephanie is Chair of the American Intellectual Property Association’s (AIPLA) Trademark Litigation Committee and has written extensively on trademark issues.  In addition to her recent recognition in Managing IP's Top 250 Women in IP, Stephanie  has been recognized among the top legal practitioners in trademark law in the U.S. in Legal Media Group's Expert Guides: Guide to the World's Leading Trade Mark Lawyers (2014), and an “IP Star” by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine (2014).  She was recently named a “Rising Star” for Intellectual Property in the Washington, D.C. area by Super Lawyers (2014).

Lynn M. Jordan

Lynn is recognized for her expertise in handling trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement matters for major entertainment, news, and media companies, and her depth of knowledge on trademark and First Amendment law. She authored one of the leading articles on trademarks and the First Amendment, “Twenty Years of Rogers v. Grimaldi: Balancing the Lanham Act with the First Amendment Rights of Creators of Artistic Works,” which won a Burton Award for excellence in legal writing in 2010. Lynn is ranked among the top trademark lawyers in the Washington, D.C. area by World Trademark Review 1000, and is described as an “accessible, hand’s on practitioner with an immense understanding of media law and corporate realities.”  Lynn was recently named an “IP Star” by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine (2014).
