Katherine Dearing focuses her practice on trademark litigation, enforcement, and counseling. Prior to joining Kelly IP, Katherine gained extensive litigation experience as an associate in the intellectual property litigation group at Venable LLP, as a legal intern for the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia, and as a law clerk for the Honorable Reggie B. Walton at the District Court for the District of Columbia.
Katherine graduated in 2017 from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the American Criminal Law Review’s Annual Survey of White Collar Crime and the director of the Alternative Dispute Resolution division of the Barrister’s Council. Katherine received her B.A. in History and International Studies, with a certificate in French language, from Northwestern University in 2012. Between college and law school, Katherine worked as a project manager at Epic Systems, where she managed two healthcare technology implementations at large medical facilities.
